Owner/grower at Volnay in Burgundy
The Rossignol-Cornu Estate was born from the union of the Rossignol and Cornu families.
The vines in Volnay, Pommard and Meursault came from the Rossignol family, which has lived in Volnay for several generations. The vines at Pernand-Vergelesses are the heritage of the Cornu family.
Didier Rossignol succeeded his father to become the head of the approximately 5-ha estate in 1989.
Alexandre, his eldest son, joined him recently: he wants the family activity to continue.
The vines, 40 years old on average, are cultivated in accordance with each appellation's specific requirements and in an integrated way.
The wines are produced with due respect for tradition, combining modernity and know-how. They are aged in oak barrels for several months (between 12 and 18, depending on the appellation) before being bottled on the estate.
By prior appointment only, the estate will welcome you and introduce you to the riches of its cellars, just as they are.
